A second round of thunderstorms could develop late this afternoon into the evening hours. A few of the storms will be strong with gusty winds and torrential downpours. In addition, conditions are somewhat favorable for the potential of a brief tornado in the region. There is uncertainty how widespread the strong to severe thunderstorms will be.
Potential impacts of the storms include: Damaging winds, frequent lightning, brief isolated tornado and localized flash flooding from torrential downpours.
