A significant winter storm will impact the state. The Maynard Emergency Management Team has been actively monitoring the storm and conducting preparedness activities. Town personnel have been taking the necessary steps to prepare for this event. If there is a loss of internet connectivity or you do not have access the public can call this number to hear a recorded message outlining the current emergency action information for Maynard (e.g., any shelters that might be open, bridge/street closings, etc.)
All power outages should be reported directly to NSTAR at: 800-592-2000 or online at www.NSTAR.com “Report an Outage”. We will be monitoring local power outages throughout the duration of the storm. At this time we are not anticipating opening a shelter unless there is a demand. In the event we open a shelter the primary shelter location will be the Town Hall. Reminder to all residents of the winter parking ban.
Due to the inclement weather we will be closing Town Hall and the Library Tuesday, January 27th. The Governor has directed that non-emergency state employees working in Executive Branch agencies should not report to their workplace on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 due to weather conditions. Governor Baker has signed an Executive Order allowing for the enforcement of a statewide travel ban effective at midnight as well as Declaration of Emergency for Massachusetts.
